Highschool is almost over..Now what do I wear?

Hey loves!

Its that time of year when it's time for all you seniors to graduate. I know that cap and gowns are not the most delightful outfits. So i've put together two looks for you guys. the first one is how to look tasteful but also not clash with the cap and gown that you have to wear over you adorable outfit. and the second is a sassy way to do a quick change of shoes and jewelry to make a huge statement at your graduation party.

                                                                    Firstly. The Graduation ceremony look.

All you need is your gorgeous dress that you've picked out and some very light silver jewlery with a black flat, because you're going to have to do a lot of walking so you don't want to kill your feet.  

Secondly, The PARTY look!!!

All you need is the same dress that you wore for your ceremony. Just swap out the flats and plain jewelry for  something with a lot of color! It's your party, You want to make a statement!!!!!

Summer Trends 2012

Hello beauties!

I just want to take a sec to share with you guys some of my favorite summer trends and aslo how they can be achieved in an affordable manor. So I put together a layout of my favorite summer look.

1.  Light loose fit Tanks: I love light lacey, oversized colored tops. I think they are so chic and so easy to either dress down for lunch and shopping with the girls or dress up for a night out.

2. TOMS- Oh my goodness TOMS are so incredible. I think they are so cute yet they serve such an amazing cause. I think that toms complete a look for a day of shopping or just whatever.

3. Jelly/big watches- Big watches are so in, Love the ones with rhinestones and a colorful band, I think it just puts a whole new twist to an outfit. (like "hey, take me serious, i'm wearing a watch".)

4. Skinny Jeans- C' mon. Skinny Jeans are a timeless thing for our generation. There are just so many things that you could do skinny jeans. Dress them up with heals, cuff them for a beachy look, etc.

5. Cross body vintage bags- Who doesn't love a good cross body bag? The vintage crossbody is just a very classic twist to every look. (and I'm one of those people who doesn't feel the need to match their purse to every outfit). but Just a simple brown cross body will pull a classic twist to any look.

*How can we make this look affordable?

Alright well like many of you, I like the best deal for my dollar. I typically won't buy anything that is not on sale. So, for this look I have 4 simple tricks.

1. for the skinny jeans and loose tanks, check you local department stores(kohls, belk, JCPenny) or a Chain store at your local outlet mall. (papaya, old navy) Check the clearance racks. There is nothing wrong with that. You might actually find something quite amazing! (My favorite pair of jeans were purchased off the clearance rack)

2. for the Jelly/big watches, check stores like rue 21, or maurices. They have some of the best jelly watches ever. and for usually around $10 each.

3. Cross body bags- Look online at places like nordstrom or even claires. I also like rue 21 when it comes to bags. Very easy to find. When you shop online, shop cross body bags, and then select price low to high. Best deals ever!

4. As for Toms, well they are pretty pricey. However there are other alternatives like BOBS by sketchers(they serve the same cause) but if you want cheaper than that then, your local show carnival or payless and you can find the TOMS look-a-like's that are just as cute. (but the only thing is they don't serve an amazing cause)

It's ok to go oily for a day...

Hi GlamgirlsOTG,

I know that for some of us oily hair is a huge issue. You find yourself having to wash your hair everyday(knowing in the back of your mind that it is not good for your hair). Don't worry, I have the same problem. My hair turns oily super fast, no matter what I do, It just happens.
    Although, I have yet to find a solution to this terrible re-occurrence. I wanted to let you guys in on a little secret.(probably not a huge secret)..but with all the hair washing that you have to do, due to your oily hair, you are damaging your hair. So ladies, I know this can be hard to take(if you're a "can't function without being squeaky clean" person like me) but every once in awhile it would be a good idea to just be lazy for a day, no shower, no hair products, just let your hair get as oily as it can. I know what you're thinking, "Ew, Leah, That is so disgusting!" I know it is, but it is very beneficial for your hair. It not only replenishes the natural oils in your hair, it also helps in hair growth. So on days where you're out of school, or off of work, don't make any plans, have a total bum day. Stay in your PJ's, catch up on missed episodes of your fav show, take naps, whatever you want around the house, just DO NOT wash your hair. (also, be sure to pin your hair out of your face because you don't want those oils effecting your skin.

I hope this helps you guys out, I know how hard it is for us girls that are constantly on the go, but just take a day to relax and let that hair get greasy! (Never thought i'd say that).

This is super cute and really simple. I love the color also.

Prom Hair

I know that for most of us prom season is over but here is what I did with my hair this year. It was super easy and took less than an hour to do. Also, It never fell, even when I was dancing. You could also use it for a wedding or homecoming. Or maybe next years prom. I hope you like.
